Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina

I recently attended a museum workshop with my peers at the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The educator took us through the exhibition of Dobrivoje Beljkašić, which was organized on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth. With the educator, we stopped next to the artworks "Rooster" and "Sarajevo", both made using the liquid ink technique. In front of these, we discussed among each other about emotions - how the character of the lines, their direction, and sharpness can reveal the emotional state of the artist in which he made this painting. But also, what emotion does this picture evoke in us when we look at it. I felt open and positive because the lines were smooth, round and the colors were bright like yellow and orange with black contrasts of the ink.

For the creative task, the museum educator assigned us to express our emotional state with a linear drawing using the tempera technique on paper. There are many emotions in my heart and soul because as a teenager I am still searching for myself. I drew wings as an aspiration for freedom - freedom of thought, spirit, and action. On the right side of my drawing is an outstretched palm with a heart on it because I am full of love and compassion for those who need it. The intense colors in my drawing indicate the excitement and the whole spectrum of emotions that I carry inside me every day.
