Get involved! Voices of the Bedminster Coal Miners

September 10th 2021 marks the 135th anniversary of the worst mining disaster in Bedminster’s history, when many miners were injured and 10 lost their lives at the Dean Lane pit.

We are creating a living memorial to the forgotten history of the Bedminster coal mines. It will be a unique performance called Voices of the Bedminster Coal Miners. Narration, poetry and music are combined together to celebrate and pay tribute to the miners and their families who helped shape Bedminster.
