Photographing historic sites - King George V, DLR station, Victoria Docks and Canning Town Station
Inspired by the Hidden Sailors, Spaces and Places workshop and booklet I visited the Royal Docks and photographed King George V, DLR station, Victoria Docks and Canning Town Station.
The work I produce be it photography, printmaking, or any artwork, come from what I see around me, irrespective of the location, subject or the subject. I am drawn to geometric shapes especially lines and shapes, contrast, and colours. Photography is my language of expression and the main bases of my work. I live in the city of London, I enjoy photographing buildings, majestic, historic, and full of characters. I see objects as human vision manifest; I see nature as a reminder of how we are made to live in harmony. Our individual beauty shining through if we are to stop and appreciate. I photograph the street full of signs of human activities whether there is a human present or not, our presence is always visible.
